GORGY TIMING NTP Secured Solutions offer three solutions to enable you to synchronize in NTP.


SOLUTION N°1 :

The client server synchronizes with the GORGY TIMING NTP Secured Solutions time server, in total security.


SOLUTION N°2 :

The client PCs synchronize with the GORGY TIMING NTP Secured Solutions time server, in total security.

SOLUTION N°3 * :

 

The GORGY TIMING NTP Secured Solutions server.


The timing station of the GORGY TIMING NTP Secured Solutions server is in Seyssinet, near Grenoble (France), in secure, air-conditioned premises.
The 3 time bases are linked to two external, official, recognized hourly references, DCF (Germany) 77.5 kHz and GPS (Global Positioning System).

The 42 U 19"enclosure of the timing station comprises :

  • A GPS 2000 encrypted time generator
    • A quartz time-base driven by the GPS satellites
    • One receiver with 8 channels in parallel for simultaneous computation of the messages from 8 satellites
    • One AFNOR 87500 output
    • Two ASCII RS232C outputs
    • Two 1PPS outputs, precision +/-1 microsecond/UTC
    • Alarm outputs
    • Assisted 230 V power supply
  • A LEDI NETWORK ENHANCED® time server
    • A quartz time-base driven by the GPS 2000
    • One NTP output : UTC time
    • High level of security (protection against time skips)
    • Supervision via http, SNMP, Telnet and on the front of the device
    • Firmware upgrading via Ethernet
    • 4-hour backup via an NiMh battery
    • Assisted 230 V power supply
  • A LEDI NETWORK SE® time server
    • A time-base driven by the German DCF77 Transmitter
    • NTP output: UTC time
    • Supervision via http, SNMP
    • Backup of hourly data for 10 years via a lithium battery.
    • Assisted 230 V power supply
  • A Linux server
    • Containing the NTP service that selectively synchronizes with the more accurate of the two time bases
    • Backup of hourly data for 10 years via a lithium battery.
    • A backup Linux server that takes over automatically should the first server fail


The advantages of the GORGY TIMING Secured Solutions server

GORGY TIMING offer their clients a secure, reliable NTP service which guarantees them identical time on their computer networks, throughout the world.

The fundamental difference of the GORGY TIMING NTP Secured Solutions is the authentication of the hourly packets contained in the NTP screen, confirming not only that they have been sent out by the time bases of the GORGY TIMING NTP Secured Solutions timing station but also that they have been neither modified nor intercepted.

Three essential elements are required to authenticate a message :
The non encrypted NTP message
The client password
An authentication key

The password and key make up the signature of the message. This signature is transmitted with the NTP screen. Each client receives a key/password. In this way, via the signature, the integrity of the NTP message can be guaranteed.
